Gastric Cancer: Prevention is Our Duty

Gastric cancer is one of the main causes of mortality in our country, which is why it requires primary and secondary prevention activities. From the point of view of primary prevention, education in healthy eating, healthy lifestyles and hygiene is very important, but the most important activity, in light of current evidence, is the eradication of Helicobacter pylori when indicated. On the other hand, in secondary prevention, early diagnosis is the main prevention tool.
